Lake Tahoe-- Snow, water sports, gambling and golf
03.22.05 (9:27 pm)   [edit]
Only a few resorts in the world offer a number of diverse activities for their customers. Lake Tahoe tops this list with an unbeatable array of choices for the tourist, vacationer and newly weds as well as a family choice all the year round. Surely God must have blessed Lake Tahoe with generous dollops of good fortune all round.

Lake Tahoe's unbeatable location in the middle of California and Nevada, proximity to Las Vegas and Reno provides a convenient weekend getaway for romance, sport and gambling. The golf courses, ski runs, snow boarding, and the clean pure air will certainly envigorate you. You can make your choice from Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, North Star, Kirkwood and Heavenly. All these resorts are very popular with fine facilties for the ski enthusiasts with Squaw Valley exclusively for experienced skiers. Useful resource: Lake Tahoe

If you are interested in skiing and snow boarding activities, you can book into the hotels and other accommodations on the north shore side of Lake Tahoe. Of course, if you are interested in trying your luck with a spot of gambling, then you are better off by booking into accommodations into Heavenly on the south shore side.

Visiting Lake Tahoe in winter is our special honeymoon wish
03.22.05 (9:26 pm)   [edit]
Sally and I will be getting married this December in Las Vegas and we have planned to have our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe for a week. Skiing is our joint hobby and Lake Tahoe definitely suits our plans to have the honeymoon on a reasonable budget. Sally felt that we should spend as much time as possible skiing at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe and I feel the same.

Lake Tahoe is convenient for both of us because we need not travel too far from Las Vegas. It also provides us with a number of budget hotels to choose from. I think, based on my past experience with Best Western hotels in Lake Tahoe, depending on the occupancy, we just might qualify for a free upgrade to a room with a good view of the slopes. We have bookings in Caesars Tahoe but our firends insist that Heavenly will be an excellent choice. Well, both Sally and I are writing ahead to our hotels and checking up to see if they value our custom as frequent visitors. Useful resource: Lake Tahoe

There are so many options to choose for our activities, but we have zeroed in on renting a snowmobile to feel our way around the slopes. A weekly pass for the ski lift will cut our costs considerably. The food, the casinos, the deep blue Lake Tahoe, deep poweder snow and olympic slopes should seeus through the week. It is early days as yet but Christmas in Lake Tahoe is always full of thrilling musical and other events to enjoy and the people there are known to make it really world class entertainment. I have also made a note to buy lift tickets online before leaving for Las Vegas, it saves 10% on the cost. We figured it out that buying everything online and getting them redeemed in Lake Tahoe will work wonders with our budget
